Team management
Creating, joining, and managing your teams and members.
In the Team tab, the team switcher at the top shows your active team. Use the arrows to swipe all the way right to the "Join a team or challenge" page. There you can tap "Create new team".
Then you can enter a name for your new team.
You should have received either an invite link or a 6–8 character code.
If you got a code, use the team switcher (at the top of the Team tab, where your active team’s name is shown) to navigate to the "Join a team or challenge" page. From there tap "Enter team or challenge code".
If it’s a challenge code, it should start with CC. Add it if needed.
Only the team captain can delete a team. The team must be empty to do so – all members have to leave first or be removed by the captain.
Team members can only be removed by the team captain or leave the team themselves. The captain can remove members by swiping them left in the "Team members" list.
To make another team member the captain, the current captain has to swipe that member left in the "Team members" list.
If the green "Team captain" option doesn’t appear next to the "Delete" option, this feature is disabled for your challenge. In that case, please reach out to your company’s challenge coordinator.
Of course you can be a member of multiple teams at the same time. Your workouts will then count for all of them.
Note: if you’re in multiple teams that participate in the same challenge, your points will be split evenly across those teams.
Because activities like running earn more points per kilometer than cycling, you may end up with more kilometers but fewer points – see the points breakdown.
Workouts & points system
The logic behind the points, the training goals, and manual entries.
We continually add new activities and improve the fairness of our points system by rating different activities more accurately. As a baseline we usually use the MET value (metabolic equivalent), which makes different activities scientifically comparable.

Join one or more teams. Start a workout and your training data will be added to your teams automatically.
You can delete one of your workouts by tapping the trash icon next to it in your personal stats. It will then also be removed from your teams automatically and the points will be recalculated accordingly.
Alternatively, you can keep your workout in your personal stats but exclude it from the team. To do that, find the workout in the team activity list and tap the three dots ("...") in the top-right corner of the entry.
Yes – if you have a Premium membership or take part in a company challenge with Premium content, you can create your own bodyweight workouts. Just scroll to the "Bodyweight Training" section in the activity list and tap "Custom workouts".
To edit a custom workout (found under the "Custom workouts" tile), swipe it left and tap "Edit".
To delete a custom bodyweight workout, swipe it left and tap "Delete".
To share a custom bodyweight workout with your team, swipe it right and tap "Share".
To add a workout manually after the fact, go to the Activities tab and tap the "Add workout manually" tile.
The bodyweight workout generator only includes exercises that match your training focus.
You set this training focus when you first created your account. You can change it any time by going to the "More" tab (bottom right) and tapping your username at the top.
The bodyweight training focus narrows down the exercises used by the bodyweight workout generator. You can change it any time by tapping your username (at the top) in the "More" tab.
Pre-made/challenge/custom workouts are not affected by the training focus.
• Full body: All exercises from the entire collection are used.
• Abs & back: Only exercises for the upper or lower back and the abdominal muscles.
• Glutes & legs: Focus on the lower body (legs and glutes).
• Upper body: A mix of exercises for arms, shoulders, back, chest, and abs.
There are two possible reasons your workout didn’t count for the challenge: either this activity is excluded for the challenge, or you exceeded one of the daily limits.
By default, the daily limits are 16 active hours or 20,000 points within 24 hours. These values may be configured differently in your challenge.
If you’re sure all your workouts are correct, please contact support or your challenge coordinator.
The daily limits exist to surface incorrect entries and prevent cheating. If a workout gets excluded:
1. Check the workout for incorrect entries (e.g. hours and minutes mixed up)
2. Delete faulty workouts in your personal stats and re-create them
3. Review all workouts in the 24 hours before and after the excluded workout
4. If all workouts are correct, contact support and include your email address
Technical issues & integrations
Step-by-step guides for smooth syncing and help with GPS issues.
We currently support direct import of workouts and activities from Apple Health, Google’s Health Connect, Garmin, Fitbit, and Polar.
Activities from other trackers and apps need to be imported into Apple Health or Health Connect (on Android) first. From there they can be synced into the Teamfit app.
Google is closing direct access to GoogleFit data. Imports are now only possible via Health Connect.
From Android 14 on, Health Connect is included in the system settings. On older devices it has to be installed from the Play Store.
You can keep using GoogleFit to record your activities. But you now have to sync them with Health Connect and use the "Import from Health Connect" tile in the Teamfit app.
Unfortunately Apple keeps a workout’s elevation gain private. So it can’t be imported into the Teamfit app. If you covered a lot of elevation, you can alternatively "add the workout manually" (separate tile in the Activities tab). If you select e.g. "Hiking" there, you can enter the elevation gain.
GPS recording issues can have several causes. In any case, location services must be enabled and the Teamfit app must always (not just "while in use") have access to your location.
For Android:
• Disable battery saver
• Disable battery optimization for Teamfit
• Allow access to "Physical activity"
For iOS:
• Enable GPS permanently (not just "While using the app")
• Allow "Motion & Fitness"
In rare cases the locally stored app data can become corrupted. In this case you have to clear the local data. You can either do this via the operating system’s app details (long-press the app icon on the home screen), or by deleting the app and reinstalling it from the App Store.
If those steps don’t help, please contact support.
Currently Teamfit only works on devices that can use Google Play Services. That isn’t the case for some Huawei phones. We’re working on a solution.
Please check that you’re on the latest version of the Teamfit app. Versions 7.1.6 and 7.1.7 have a known issue with the Garmin connection.
Try the following:
1. Log out from Garmin in the Teamfit app
2. In Garmin Connect, click "Disconnect" for Teamfit
3. In the Teamfit app, under Training → Import from Garmin, sign in with your Garmin account again
Account management & privacy
Profile customization, privacy, and account management.
You can reach the account settings by tapping the "More" tab in the bottom-right corner and then your username at the top. From here you can change your profile picture by tapping the pencil icon at the bottom-right of the picture.
To permanently delete your Teamfit account, go to the "More" tab (bottom right), tap your username (at the top), and at the very bottom tap "Delete account".
Next, you have to enter your username to confirm the deletion. If nothing happens when you tap "Confirm", you mistyped it. Please also pay attention to upper and lower case.
Don’t worry, no account is fully deleted by accident. Your account with your workouts, your team, and your challenge is still there!
If you see an empty account after signing in, you accidentally created a new account instead of signing in with your old one.
To delete the new account: "More" tab → username → "Delete account" → enter your username to confirm.
Then try signing in with your old account. You probably used a different email address last time, or signed in with Google/Apple/Facebook.
